Lauren Has Her Tonsils Out

Lauren had to go to the hospital on Friday to have her tonsils taken out. She was so cute in her hospital gown, I had to take a picture. (And yes, even the baby gowns are open down the back!) This is a picture of Lauren right before she got her anesthesia. Talk about loopy... it was like having a drunk 2 year old. She was herself, only slower and goofier. The only thing that satisfied her was for me to sing "Old MacDonald Had A Farm." For the first few days she was not a happy camper. (who would be after that?) She did a lot of sleeping and a lot of whining. I walked out of the room for five minutes and came back to find her asleep on the couch.

We know she's starting to feel better now. She has her appetite back. But most telling of all, she has her naughty streak back too! We were looking at cars yesterday. While we talked to the sales guy, we let the girls sit at a little table by themselves. When I turned around to check on them, I noticed Lauren had found a Sharpie, opened it, and was coloring on things. When I went to take it away, she jumped about a mile... not because of the marker, but because she also had a penny in her mouth (after I told her not to!). This is the Lauren we know and love!!!!
