Thirteen Thursday... The Lauren Edition

In honor of Lauren's birthday on Friday, I wanted to make Thirteen Thursday all about her.

1. She loves bracelets. Really, really loves bracelets...

2. We had the windows open on Saturday to get fresh air in the house. When Lauren tried to sit on the windowsill, she missed. She knocked out the window screen with her bootie!!

3. Lauren adores her pink hat. She has it on all day, every day. In the morning she gets up, puts on her hat, and jumps back into bed to wait for us to get her up. When I walk in her room in the mornings, her first words are, "On pink hat Mommy!"

4. Today at Walmart Lauren picked out a bag of raisins. She held them all through the store and on the way home. We're talking at least an hour of hugging a bag of raisins...

5. Her favorite (only) knock-knock joke:

Lauren- Knock-knock

Me- Who's there?

Lauren- Teddy

Me- Teddy who?

Lauren- TEDDY!!!!!! (lot's of crazy laughing to follow...)

6. She wants to wear a pink bow with everything, no matter what other colors she has on.

7. When Lauren gets bored, she sticks a finger up her nose.
8. When I was working on cake this week (fortunately Lauren's), Lucy started hollering from the kitchen that Lauren was eating cake. I found the cake with handprints where Lauren had raked her hands through the icing. Lucy was horrified... Lauren was quite pleased!

9. Lauren has come up with her own measuring system. If she has two similar objects of different sizes, she will call the bigger one the "mommy" and the little one the "baby". For instance, Lucy has "mommy" shoes and Lauren has "baby" shoes.

10. Lauren loves to sit next to Lucy. Not near her, but cozied up, shoulder-to-shoulder with her. Lucy is a very patient big sister!

11. Every time Lauren takes a bite of something she likes, she says, "Mmmmm, Nunny!"

12. She was so proud of her Elmo cupcakes that she took to school today. She put on her Elmo ring this morning and hasn't taken it off since!

13. She is learning to count so well... 1..2..5..6..1..2..5..6....... We are so proud!
