Earlier today I overheard Lucy and Lauren fighting. After several minutes, the argument grew louder and sounded as if it might be turning violent. I went in their room to break it up, and this is all the info I got:
Me "What's going on?"
Lucy "Lauren poked me in the eye!!!" (lots of whining and whimpering to accompany this statement in case I didn't believe her)
Me "Okay, so why is Lauren crying? What did you do to her?"
Lucy (after so much thought I could literally see the wheels turning in her head) "I forgived her."
So what really happened? I'll never know because I had to leave the room I was laughing so hard!

SO funny! Sounds like she knows what she's supposed to do (forgive), but probably just doesn't have the hang of it yet (poor Lauren!)
Thanks for sharing that, we really had a great laugh, I could just see Lucy's big eyes as she was thinking how to best avoid trouble. Smart cookie our Lucy, and soon Lauren wont let Lucy get away with those antics but for now its just funny!! Grammie
