Lucy: "When I grow up, I want to be a ballet teacher." Me: "That sounds like a great job for you." Lauren: "And I Melmo" Me: "You want to be Elmo when you grow up?" Lauren: "Yes!"
That is funny!! Brian asked the girls what they wanted to be when they grow up....suggesting an engineer or perhaps and electrician and my "wants to please everyone" Molly said, yes, Electrician. Sarah said, "no, I want to be a princess". I think the likelihood of that happening is right up there with Lauren becoming Elmo, but hey they can dream.
Lauren, if you grow up to be Melmo, I think I have the perfect (future) husband for you. He is asleep in the next room :) I, for one, would be very glad to give you the responsibility of singing the Elmo's World theme song, on demand, no less than 27 times a day.
Our family of five lives very happily in Arkansas. Though for years we plotted ways to leave the state, it has become our home that we love very much. It is a great place to raise our family, and we have been truly blessed.
