Happy Birthday Lucy!

Lucy decided on a Princess Tea Party for her 5th birthday. She invited a lot of her friends from school and church, and they had a lot of fancy fun! They made magic wands and beaded necklaces. They kissed a frog prince to try to turn him back into a prince. It didn't work, but they had fun smearing on lipstick and giving it a try! Lucy's one request was a pinata, so we had one of those too. All in all it was a great party, and she had a great time.

Lucy's actual birthday was a few days after Christmas. (Not good planning on my part... Christmas and a birthday!) For her birthday dinner she picked to eat at Fuji. Initially I was surprised becasue she generally doesn't care for Fuji. Then she explained to me that they sing to you and you get ice cream on your birthday. So, mystery solved. And while we were there, she very loudly made the observation that everyone who worked there had eyes like this (picture squished up face with squinty eyes.) In case the other side of the restaurant didn't hear her the first time, she asked it again just to be sure!

After Fuji we went home for presents and cake. Lucy and Lauren helped me make a Tinkerbell cake that they were very proud of. Then for the big finale, Lucy got a new Barbie bike. (It was about time since her knees were practically hitting her in the chin when she rode her old one!)

that cake is amazing! I got to tell her happy birthday that night at Fuji... but I didn't hear her say that about their eyes.... so I am sure that you are ok to show your none squinky face there again!

For all you commenting on the cake, the picture posted is good but it doesn't do complete justice to the cuteness of this cake. Every part of it was edible (sp??). It was the cutest cake EVER!!

I love the pictures and the Fugi eyes comment. Thanks for inviting us to the party. It was a lot of fun.

Her parties look like so much fun. One of these days when we are up in Jonesboro I am going to have to figure out an excuse to have a party so I can taste one of your cakes. They were both adorable.

I love the teapot cake. Maddie did a tea party for her 5th birthday, but I would be ashamed to show you her teapot cake that I made. Yours totally puts mine to shame! :)

And when is Lucy's birthday? Becca's is the 30th of December, so I know what you mean about Christmas and birthdays. Plus, our anniversary is the 21st. We weren't thinking very well, were we?

LOVE the idea for a princess tea party - I may have to steal that idea for Hayley's 5th birthday! Awesome!

Please come to Chattanooga and do that cake for me! :) Just let me know how much you'd charge!
